applications
General purpose, grilled to perfection, and oh, so juicy. I'm serving up
heaping portions of applications designed to do neat stuff you didn't know you needed.
Be careful; hot plate, you know.
- utilities
- MicToggle - An extremely simple AppleScript that toggles built-in microphone volume between muted and full volume. I highly recommend editing it to fit your needs, or linking it to a hotkey with some freeware.
- StreetSmarts(hosted at Google Code) - A C#-borne utility for mass
renaming of files. In practice, I use it to rename sets of MP3s. It uses its own
scripting language, StreetSmarts Script (or S3) to get its work done. Requires
the .NET Framework version 1.0. Source is included, and I think it should compile alright
on Mono, although I haven't tried it.
- other, older, crap
- Querying Eye for the Wireless Guy - A
new utility by me, written in C#. Queries wireless access points, and garners various
information from them. Requires the .NET framework, at least version 1.2, to run.
- ChatSama Suite - Written in C++
Builder, designed to be a quick & dirty solution when you just need some quick
teleconferencing abilities on a LAN. I hope to be updating this soon.
- Highway 40 - This old proggie will calculate
Riemann sums for basic polynomials, up to the fifth degree.
